THAT'S A WRAP!

It's over. We are all done. Thanks to everyone for all the hard work!

We're celebrating with a little Dom and some grilled cheese sandwiches. We drank a celebratory glass for Tom and Jill as well.

34 gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches on the wall.

It's the final countdown.

We just added the 33rd sandwich to the wall. That leaves only one more to go.

We are having a drool fest over this one. Wisconsin Mascarpone, dulce de leche, raspberry preserves on cinnamon raison bread. Oh and a little carmel sauce to boot.

Shine on!

Dave brought a little "hardware" to the studio today. It just so happens to be the Best of Show award from the Region IV NAMA awards show. Congrats and Shine on!

The Jared.

We just served up a gourmet foot long and yes, we would like it toasted.

Day 9 is underway.

We are off an running this morning and Vanessa is reenergized and ready to make some sandwiches. She won four diamonds in an Iron Horse Hotel giveaway and she finally got to see them last night. Vanessa definitely has a spring in her step this morning proving diamonds are a girls best friend. As for me, I've checked out of the luxurious La Quinta Inn & Suites and will be commuting for the final day. Sandwich count: 29 on the wall.

The Courter.

The Courter is a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich that features Wisconsin Pepper Jack Cheese on dark German wheat bread. This beauty was created in the kitchen of Master Chef Andrew Courter. Thanks for the submission Andrew and thanks for being such a great Shiner.

Say hello to Kristyn.

I've been a bad blogger and failed to feature one of our team members for eight days now. Please give Kristyn a big Grilled Cheese Digest howdy. Kristyn has been the production assistant on this job and does a good job of keeping the studio wheels a turning.

Scott and Kristyn striking a pose.

A little excitement…

We had a little "incident" in the studio this afternoon. Don't worry, everyone is okay – just clearing the smoke from our lungs.

Progress continues.

The sandwich factory is in full production mode again today. Two more sandwiches are in the can. My taste buds are still smiling from the tempura battered onions we snacked on this morning. So good.

Day 8.

There were four delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches added to the War Wall® yesterday bringing our grand total to 25. Nine to go people.

The artist, formerly known as Vanessa, poses with her creations.

Todays juice ingredients.

Breana serves up the vitamins.

The results are in.

Thanks to all of those who played "NAME THAT CHEESE!" Congratulations to Amanda, Emilie, Mike, and Nick for correctly identifying the five Wisconsin Cheeses.

The correct answers were:
1. Wisconsin Gruyere
2. Wisconsin Limburger
3. Wisconsin Gouda
4. Wisconsin Asiago

"NAME THAT CHEESE!"

Here's a little Tuesday afternoon game show titled "NAME THAT CHEESE!" Get all five cheeses correct and you might be registered to win a slightly used Panini press. Still checking with Legal for official rules and details.

Day 7 or 8? I'm loosing track.

It's starting to feel like Groundhog Day here in Muskego. Drink fresh squeezed juice. Select the bread. Select the plate. Drool on the cheese. Marvel at the food styling. Hang another print out on the war wall. If you don't hear from me for a while don't worry. I'm just running out of material to blog about.

Cheese Cupid struck again this week with some dandy swag.

A sandwich is born.

New week. New crew.

The new week brings new faces. Please welcome food stylists, Christina and Breana to the studio.

The self named "Charlie's Angels." Christina, Breana, and Vanessa.

18

Eighteen is the number of sandwiches we shot last week and also the number of Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice. I'm still smiling over his three touchdowns yesterday.

Thanks Jill and Tom!

All of us at the Grilled Cheese Digest would like to say "THANK YOU" to Jill and Tom for all of their expertise and hard work this week. They were both unavailable for next weeks shoot so we have a couple of new stylists coming in. All the rumors about Jill and Tom quitting or being fired by Vanessa are totally untrue.

A couple of real pros and super nice people.

Dave is in the house!

Todays special studio guest is Dave Bavlnka. For those of you who don't know, Dave is Vice President of Advertising at the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board.

Dave just sampled some Wisconsin blue cheese. Yum.

The sandwich artist.

Watching Vanessa work is truly amazing. I'm not sure "stylist" quite covers what she does. Maybe her title should be something like Executive Maestro of Food Art. Not sure.

Vanessa sculpts sandwich No. 8.

This is the beginning of sandwich No. 8. It's basically garlic chicken with parmesan and provolone cheese. I guarantee the final photo will make you salivate.

Wisconsin Cheese goodness.

Treat yourself to a Wisconsin grilled cheese tonight.

Todays special guest: Mr. Scott Welter.

Lucky No. 13

I'm accepting input on names for this one. It's gorgeous.

Lights and camera.

I'm posting our "photo sets" for the camera geeks in the audience. We are working two sets on this shoot. One for the sandwiches and one for individual cheese silhouette

The camera on set two.

The train keeps rollin'.

We finished our third day of shooting and added four delicious sandwiches to the war wall. I predict the average website visit at over five minutes. Boom.

Wednesday afternoon sightings.

A few perspectives from around the kitchen.
